The Boreal Scatterweed is a species of scatterweed appearing in Pikmin: Spark. They are a species of hostile plant known for having green leaves with a blueish tint and multiple round bulbs ending in a blue or purple flower. These bulbs contain pods from which they reproduce, however, when something enters their territory, they scatter these pods onto them. The pods contain a liquid that freezes in the air, causing anything they hit to be frozen in ice crystals. Furthermore, the bulbs can also bury intruders by spewing snow, smothering targets that lack the finesse to escape. Hairy Pikmin are the preferred Pikmin to attack these weeds with, as they are immune to both the freezing pods and the burying snow. The plant won't die unless all of its buds are removed.
