The Carnivorous Sponge is an immobile creature appearing in Pikmin: The Huge Debt. It is a red, slender sponge with many arms, yellow eyes, and a mouth containing sharp teeth. If a leader comes too close to a Carnivorous Sponge, it will pick them up and eat them. The eaten leader will, after five seconds have passed, rocket out of the creature's mouth with half of their health gone. Carnivorous Sponges do not feed on Pikmin because they are at least partially a plant.
