The Dark Spitter is a spit-shot appearing in Pikmin: The After Years. A Cephalorock larva infused with dark matter, it has purple skin, red eyes, and a black, spiked cap. Despite its smaller size, it can still kill Pikmin quickly by spitting dark energy at them. The spikes on its cap render attacks from above futile as any Pikmin that lands on them are impaled, although the beast is extremely vulnerable to swarming. When defeated, it disintegrates into dark matter.
