The Fluffy Bulbear appears in Pikmin: Hybrids as the bulbear equivalent of the Fluffy Bulborb. It is a bulbear that greatly resembles the Fluffy Bulborb, having a woolly back, but slightly larger and stronger and having more bulbear-like features. It leaps into the air and sniffs at the ground after it lands. If it doesn't find prey, it hops again to another spot. In combat, a Fluffy Bulbear alternates between hopping and eating a few Pikmin, making it difficult to harm. Fortunately, it has very little health. The most opportune time to strike would be immediately after it lands, while it sniffs around. Landing a single Pikmin directly on top of it will instantly kill it, but swarming it is also effective. Purple Pikmin are especially useful in killing a Fluffy Bulbear because, with careful aim, one can be knocked out of the air using a single Purple Pikmin. Alternatively, Purple Pikmin can be used to stun it when it is getting ready to jump, providing the opportunity to swarm the creature.
