Candypop buds are large flowers with fleshy petals present throughout Pikmin: Return to the Distant Planet. When Pikmin are thrown into one of these flowers, they spit out an equivalent amount of Pikmin of the same color as their petals back out. These new Pikmin are born in the leaf stage. Most can take in 10 Pikmin(with the exception of the Violet Candypop Bud, which takes in and spits out only 5 Pikmin) before spitting out seeds and withering away. Pikmin thrown in of the same color as the Candypop bud don't count towards this number, however, their maturity will be reverted back to a leaf.

Types

Crimson Candypop Bud

Pikmin tossed into this candypop bud will always be spat out again as Red Pikmin seeds. Each bud can spit out 10 seeds before withering away.

Golden Candypop Bud

Golden Candypop Buds spit Yellow Pikmin seeds out when Pikmin are thrown in. Each flower can produce up to 10 Pikmin each before wilting away.

Lapis Lazuli Candypop Bud

Lapis Lazuli Candypop Buds produce Blue Pikmin seeds when Pikmin are thrown in. Each plant can spit out up to 10 Blue Pikmin before withering.

Ivory Candypop Bud

Ivory Candypop Buds make White Pikmin seeds when Pikmin are thrown in. Each bud can make 10 seeds before wilting.

Violet Candypop Bud

Violet Candypop Buds spit out Purple Pikmin seeds when Pikmin are tossed into them. Unlike other Candypop Buds, Violet Candypop Buds only produce 5 seeds before withering away.
