The Puffel is a sporovid located on the final sublevel of Fungal Dwelling, where two of them are fought alongside the Blastool. Unlike the Puffstool, which simply releases a cloud of Pikmin-altering spores, the Puffel turns Pikmin into Mushroom Pikmin by launching spore-filled projectiles at them that burst upon impact.

- “This species of sporovid has a more potent way of dispersing spores. It will seek out prey, usually Pikmin, and shoot them with a spore bomb, turning them into zombies. When their prey has perished, they leave spores strewn around on the ground, therefore reproducing the puffel.”

- “While this species is known to be toxic, if you shave off the waxy, noxious skin, you get a delicious bread-like treat. Best served glazed or buttered.”
