Rainbow bomb rocks are a type of bomb rock appearing in Pikmin: Rainbow World that can only be handled by Rainbow Pikmin. When thrown, a rainbow bomb rock will explode on impact with a surface or creature, releasing a powerful rainbow shockwave. They can be used to instantly destroy a stone gate, but any Pikmin besides Rainbow Pikmin that happen to be in the explosion's range will instantly die. If a Rainbow Pikmin is hit five times by a rainbow bomb rock's explosion, it will become a random color of Pikmin. Rainbow bomb rock explosions can easily kill smaller rainbow enemies, but inflict little to no damage on larger ones. The explosion of a rainbow bomb rock will also instantly detonate any other bomb rocks in its range, potentially causing a spectacular chain reaction.
