The Voltaic Man-at-Legs is an arachnorb appearing in Pikmin 2: Man-at-Legs Testing Facility, in all difficulties, as the ninth boss. It visually resembles a typical Man-at-Legs but with four mechanical legs and a coloration resembling that of an Anode Beetle's. It rises from the ground when approached closely or touched, or one of the fifteen Anode Beetles accompanying it is flipped. After it is awakened, the Voltaic Man-at-Legs will constantly be electrically charged by the Anode Beetles, causing a ball of electricity to form on top of the creature. So long as the ball of electricity persists, any Pikmin that latch onto its body will be electrocuted after a brief moment. The ball of electricity decays over time and will eventually disappear if not replenished with energy, likely if few or no Anode Beetles are alive. Uniquely, the Voltaic Man-at-Legs fires projectiles that electrocute Pikmin rather than generically killing them. The creature also randomly shakes itself and begins firing, which may be related to damage to or the deaths of its Anode Beetles. Of note is that the Anode Beetles present with the Voltaic Man-at-Legs never exchange electricity with one another and recover health at a moderate pace when left alone.
