Attacks Skewers and slices Pikmin

The Mechawog is a mechanical amphituber appearing in Pikmin: Revenge of the Darkfreeze. The only resemblance to other wollywogs is that the Mechawog has a similar shape to the Yellow Wollywog. The Mechawog has shiny yellow armor, glowing blue eyes, and surprisingly long front legs. The species cannot hop very high because it is very heavy. Any Pikmin that attacks the Mechawog from its sides will bounce off of it, becoming idle and doing no damage to the creature. Idle Pikmin can become easy prey for the Mechawog, which skewers them and slices them apart. However, throwing Purple Pikmin onto the creature in such a way that they pound on it will dent and eventually destroy portions of its armor, which will allow the Mechawog to be attacked normally. When defeated, it sometimes drops Electronics, which can be sold at some village shops.

Notes

Olimar's notes

Recent dissection of the species has revealed that the monster is entirely mechanical, with little or no organic components. I bet Louie's going to have a hard time trying to eat this...

Louie's notes

Inedible. Consumption results in an irresistible urge to do the dance move known as the robot.
