The Screeching Chrysanthemum is a chrysanthemum appearing in Pikmin: The After Years. It strongly resembles a Creeping Chrysanthemum but with a blue body and pink head. This type of chrysanthemum will screech at Pikmin, knocking them over. Its screech is significantly weaker than that of a Screeching Blowhog and sounds more like nails on a chalkboard. After screeching, a Screeching Chrysanthemum will approach and attempt to devour any Pikmin it may have knocked over. Like the Creeping Chrysanthemum, if it misses, it will smack itself and fall over, presenting an opportunity to attack. Swarming it with Pikmin or tossing Purple Pikmin onto it are quick and effective methods of killing a Screeching Chrysanthemum.
