The ''' | The '''Acidic Cannon Beetle''' is a relative of the [[Armored Cannon Beetle]] that launches balls of corrosive [[acid]] rather than [[boulder]]s, which disintegrate all but [[Green Pikmin]] upon contact. The acid balls the creature launches from its mouth splatter onto anything within its vicinity upon impact with a wall or obstacle. Most enemies that suffer a direct hit from an acid ball launched by the Acidic Cannon Beetle instantly die, which is a useful tactic to use against the numerous [[Spotty Bulbear]]s inhabiting the [[Valley of Grief]]. When the Acidic Cannon Beetle inhales to launch an acid ball, throwing a Pikmin into its blowhole will cause it to open its wing casings, causing acid to pour out from its exposed body and which creates a wide trail of acid in its wake as it attempts to flee. | ||

The Acidic Cannon Beetle is a relative of the Armored Cannon Beetle that launches balls of corrosive acid rather than boulders, which disintegrate all but Green Pikmin upon contact.
