The Swimmuscle Pikmin is an unusual Pikmin species appearing in Pikmin: The Return of the Puffmin. It is not used as a conventional Pikmin, as they can not carry objects, existing solely to solve the Laser Clamclamp puzzle in Blue Battle Bay. Such is done by throwing a Swimmuscle Pikmin onto the tongue of a Laser Clamclamp, stopping it from firing its laser so long as it remains there. Near the puzzle, five Swimmuscle Pikmin are found, enough to solve the puzzle and open the way to Sea Shelter. Swimmuscle Pikmin lack an Onion of their own, and attempting to bring them into dungeons will cause them to mysteriously disappear.
