The Rockborb is an unusual member of the grub-dog family that is coated entirely in rock. It is normally found buried in the ground, but it will emerge from its hiding spot should its prey approach too closely. A round brown stone sticking out of the ground is usually a Rockborb. Because of its nature, the Rockborb cannot move its limbs nor its jaw; instead, it hops towards Pikmin and leaders in a deliberate attempt to crush them. It is also immune to the effects of ultra-bitter spray. Rockborbs move rather slowly, so it is easy to evade them. Using Cyan Pikmin to battle a Rockborb is an effective tactic, as they can easily reduce the creature to debris.
