The Maimer Mothlot is an extremely large member of an unknown family that appears in the Castaway Mode DLC of Pikmin E: Remastered. It is a large creature that mimics the attributes of a Hoppmoth Caretaker. They serve as the boss of the Treacherous Trunk. Upon entering the sublevel, it will be idle, surrounded by a number of dead Hoppmoth Larvae, seemingly grieving. Once approached, the Maimer Mothlot will turn around, roar loudly, and begin the bossfight. It attacks by flying around the arena, occasionally locking onto a location and swooping down to impale any Pikmin it can with its claws. Once defeated, the Maimer Mothlot will screech loudly, summoning the presence of a singular Screeching Hoppmoth.
