The Hoppmoth Caretaker is a hoppmoth that appears in the Castaway Mode DLC of Pikmin E: Remastered. It is a large creature, with attributes of both a moth and a grasshopper, colored mostly a bright, golden yellow. They are only seen within areas that have Hoppmoth Larvae, as they are usually assigned to take care of them. Usually, they are not hostile to Pikmin or leaders, however, if the Hoppmoth Larvae they've been assigned to protect are attacked, then they will become hostile, hopping around and crushing Pikmin underneath them.
