The Acidic Emperor Bulblax is a distant relative of the common Emperor Bulblax. Overall, the gargantuan beast is brilliantly-colored: its skin is yellow, its tongue is green, and its hide is purple. A thin layer of deadly acid covers the creature's entire body, so Green Pikmin are necessary to battle one.

Unlike the Emperor Bulblax, which burrows into the ground with only either its back or its eyes exposed, the Acidic Emperor Bulblax can be found asleep on the ground, much like a Red Bulborb. Its only weakpoint is its vulnerable face, onto which Green Pikmin can be thrown to awaken the creature. Before the Acidic Emperor Bulblax can retaliate by shaking off its attackers, whistle them off, and retreat. Unlike a common Emperor Bulblax, the Acidic Emperor Bulblax will lash out its tongue and spin around, stopping when it completes a full rotation. Any Pikmin that are too close to the creature at that time will be eaten.

Once enough damage has been done to the Acidic Emperor Bulblax, it will attempt to summon any nearby Acidic Bulblaxes to its location to assist it in the conflict. The Acidic Bulblaxes can be easily dealt with using ultra-bitter spray on them and destroying them using a small group of Green Pikmin. Continue focusing on the Acidic Emperor Bulblax until it is no more.

Notes

Olimar's notes

"Though it is hard to notice at first, this creature's skin is covered with a layer of acid, presumably for protection against other species. Strangely enough, there always seems to be a group of acidic bulblaxes present nearby which the acidic emperor bulblax orders to attack me, much like I order the Pikmin that follow me. Upon closer inspection, it may be revealed that this creature is not of the grub-dog family... I shall study this species during my spare time."
