The Bubble-Blowing Blowhog is a blowhog that defends itself by blowing a stream of bubbles from its trunk. Like other land-dwelling blowhogs, a Bubble-Blowing Blowhog will wander idly around a small territory. When Pikmin or leaders come by, however, it will turn to face them before unleashing a barrage of bubbles in their direction. Any Pikmin or leaders that touch said bubbles will become trapped within them, but there are a few methods of escape: either wait for the bubbles to pop on their own, or have another leader throw Pikmin at the bubbles to pop them. Leaders can also struggle to cause the bubble they are trapped in to pop. When overwhelmed, a Bubble-Blowing Blowhog will rear up on its hind legs before bucking off its attackers. A Bubble-Blowing Blowhog will resume its idle wandering behavior if left alone.

Bubble-Blowing Blowhogs bear a strong resemblance to other blowhogs like it. They differ only in coloration, having red eyes, a green-tipped trunk, and blue nails.
