The '''Burrowing Chrysanthemum Beetle''' is an enemy that appears in ''[[Pikmin: Global Breakdown]]''. The only time they are encountered is when they emerge from the ground after being summoned by a [[Seeding Chrysanthemum]], with several appearing at a time. They are about the size of a [[Dwarf Red Bulborb|dwarf bulborb]] and move relatively slowly, but can eat [[Pikmin family|Pikmin]] at a rapid pace. They can not shake Pikmin off of themselves and are helpless when outnumbered. Upon defeat, the Burrowing Chrysanthemum Beetle shudders for a few seconds before [[Explosion|exploding]], which is useful for harming the Seeding Chrysanthemum that summoned it.

This creature burrows out of the ground only if a [[Seeding Chrysanthemum]] calls it to attack the Pikmin. However, the Seeding Chrysantemum always calls up several at a time. They actually move pretty slowly, but they eat Pikmin quickly once they reach them. They can't shake Pikmin off though, so if Pikmin are thrown on top of them, they won't be able to do anything about it. When defeated, the shudder violently for a few seconds and explode with the power of a bombrock. This is good for taking out the Seeding Chrysanthemum that called it. It appears in [[Pikmin: Global Breakdown]].
