Character D is an unused resident of Koppai who was originally planned to appear in Pikmin 3. He was present in early concept art but was removed during development.

Dell is a main character and playable leaders in Pikmin: Elements and its sequels. He is tall and lean and has shaggy green hair covering his eyes. He works at Drake's company, Koppai Industries. He is seen in the Pikmin: Elements series piloting the S.S. Nexus, and in Pikmin: Scavenge, he pilots the S.S. Nexus 2. The S.S. Nexus 2 is similar to a NASA rocket and was originally modeled from one.

Dell's family is mentioned in voyage logs in Pikmin: Elements. He grew up with his mother, father, and grandfather, and has one younger brother and one older sister.

Dell was one of the first employees at Koppai Industries Incorporated, where he met Alph, Drake, and Alph's younger brother Yorke. Brittany and Charlie met them all once the famine had struck their planet like lightning. Drake had quickly designed some scouting ships called SPEROs according to Dell. Dell also mentions that the S.S. Nexus was thought of by Drake as an evolved SPERO.
