A Clown Around is an enemy appearing in Pikmin 3: The Progg Wars that is encountered only after the Insanity Portal is opened. Clown Arounds resembles real-world clowns, and walk on top of a colorful ball while throwing bowling pins at Pikmin and leaders. They are able to crush leaders and Pikmin they roll over, and those struck by one of its bowling pins will be knocked down, Pikmin also being deflowered. A Clown Around may also squirt lava from the flower pin on its chest, so using Red Pikmin against Clown Arounds is strongly recommended. Clown Arounds are very weak, and throwing even a single Pikmin at one will knock it from its ball and cause it and its ball to explode.
