The Ethereal Hoppmoth is a large, aggressive, assumed member of the Hoppmoth family that appears in the Castaway Mode DLC of Pikmin E: Remastered. It flies around a set area known as its territory, of which the outer edges are marked with a light green highlight. Physically, it appears similar to other hoppmoths, but with attributes of Glow Pikmin, hinting at its material makeup. Due to being made of light photons, much like Glow Pikmin, they can only be attacked and harmed by said Pikmin. Any others that may attempt to attack it will be shocked and killed. If Glow Pikmin are left latched onto it for too long, it will absorb and merge said Glow Pikmin into itself, making it larger in size. Upon death, it will evaporate, leaving nothing behind to carry back to the Onion.
