The Minedropper is an attack drone used by the Z Syndicate and appears in Pikmin: Shadows of the Future. It is a gray sphere with a single angry eye and insectoid mandibles. Four legs emerge from the top of the Minedropper's body and curve downward to allow the robot to walk, which makes it resemble a small arachnorb. When idle, the Minedropper will produce and lay a large number of fragmentation mines around its territory before traveling to the center of it and entering sleep mode. Pikmin and leaders that get too close to the mines will trigger them, causing them to detonate after a few seconds. The Minedropper will awaken once a mine is triggered and will investigate the location the mine detonated in. The Minedropper itself is blast-resistant and thus invulnerable to its own weaponry. To defeat the robot, throw Pikmin, preferably Purple Pikmin, onto it until it dies. It will detonate shortly after death, and any mines it had laid will have to be manually detonated.
