The Sandy Bulborb is a Grub-dog appearing in Pikmin: 3.9 that leaps out of the ground to ambush Pikmin and the player similar to the Emperor bulblax.

Strategy

Repeatedly throw purple Pikmin at it untill it dies.

Behavior

The Sandy Bulborb hides underground untill a Pikmin or leader gets close. It then leaps out of the ground and tries to eat Pikmin. If it is left alone it will rebury itself.

The Sandy Bulborb has brown eyes, pink fangs, and three brown stripes that stretch across its back. It attacks mainly by eating [[Pikmin]], and if it feels particularly threatened, it may jump to create a cloud of sand that suffocates Pikmin. It can also create a cloud of sand by shaking Pikmin off of itself. Once the Sandy Bulborb is defeated, it disintegrates into a pile of sand that cannot be taken for [[Poko]]s or seeds.
