Attacks Disorients and eats Pikmin

The Burrowing Snaghorn is an enemy in Pikmin: Dusk and Dawn that uses its trumpet-like mouth to disorientate Pikmin before eating them. Its body resembles that of a typical Burrowing Snagret, albeit with a yellow-brown body and slightly orange feathers. Its eyes are big and wall-eyed, giving it a funny appearance along with its big megaphone-like mouth. Much like its sibling, it pops out of the ground unexpectedly, catching leaders off-guard. After a few seconds of preparation, it will reel its head back and release a burst of sound from its mouth, sounding similar to a foghorn and a goose combined. This burst of sound will blow Pikmin back and disorientate them, allowing for the Snaghorn to impale at least five Pikmin with its sharp tongue. If it is being swarmed, it will shake any Pikmin off of its head, but not its body. After being attacked enough, or after a certain period of time, it will burrow back into the ground to appear somewhere else and resume its attack. Snaghorns are beefier than regular snavians, and as such have more health. It is advised that leaders call off their Pikmin before it prepares to attack, so they have enough time to dodge its horn blow. Swarm its body right after it attacks for maximum damage.

Notes

Olimar's notes

Burrowing Snaghorn / Ore tubae avis anguis / Snavian family. Oh, how unique! This creature has evolved to use its horn-like mouth to disorient my Pikmin! It would be quite interesting... if they didn't eat my Pikmin straight after. Oh well!

Louie's notes

Slice body into thin medallions, add curry sauce and vegetables, serve with rice, and enjoy!

Chacho's notes

I'm up, I'M UP! Oh, sorry, thought I was back in the army again.
