Coastal Rock Pikmin are beach-dwelling Pikmin in Pikmin: The Continents that adapted to life in a coastal habitat. They are resistant to blunt force, and fire and water for two months. They would be vulnerable to some aquatic predators that have an appetite for ocean rocks. They move slowly underwater, which they hold their breath under, and can easily survive in it for some time before needing to surface, although they are unable to survive in oceans since there typically aren't many rocks reaching into them. Coastal Rock Pikmin spend most of their time in sea rock clusters and hunt small prey that passes by, and are passive towards small prey when not hungry, but will repel intruders in their territory should they feel threatened. As a last resort, Coastal Rock Pikmin hunt in groups to search for aquatic prey. To reproduce, Coastal Rock Pikmin hold hands, and when finished, the female protects the newly-born young while the male finds food for them.
