Commandant Troopant is a miniboss troopant in Pikmin 2... Again?. A bigger troopant that strongly resembles a real-world ant, it is brown, has flat insectoid mandibles similar to those of the pinchipede family's members, and mustache-like antennae. It commands a squadron of Marching Troopants beating its antennas on its jaws like drums. While doing so, it can not be hit even by thrown Pikmin because it holds itself up so highly, but will slouch if its Marching Troopants are all incapacitated from colliding with solid surfaces. After they come to, it will return to its usual behavior. Notably, the Commandant Troopant is incapable of hurting Pikmin or leaders on its own.
