The Froido is a semiaquatic enemy appearing in Pikmin: The Continents. Having two legs for walking and a strong tail for swimming, the Froido is adapted to spend over half its time in the water, such as that of the jungles it thrives in, and the remaining time on land. They feed on poisonous insects to absorb the chemical for themselves to secrete through their skin, poisoning anything that touches it. Although the injection is painless, only creatures that are immune to poison can survive contact, although an antidote exists. Anything that approaches a Froido from behind so carelessly that they are stabbed by the claws on its tail will also be injected with poison.
