Attacks Eats and poisons Pikmin, summons Lesser Sputtlefish

The Greater Sputtlefish is a squirdler miniboss appearing in Pikmin: Spark as a larger version of the Lesser Sputtlefish with a darker red tint to its body as well as a ring of purple bumps around its face. They dwell in deep waters, particularly in Saltwater Glade and Fertile Savanna, among other areas, where they hide in their dens and attack anything intruding on their territory. The purple bumps on their body allow them to have more potent ink, which can poison Pikmin similarly to that of their smaller brethren. Greater Sputtlefish can also spit a barrage of toxic harpoons that linger around, and burst into a cloud of poison when leaders come near. When in need of assistance, a Greater Sputtlefish can summon other Lesser Sputtlefish in groups of two or three individuals by mimicking their mating calls. Due to its underwater nature, it can only be damaged by Blue Pikmin.

In Ultra-Spicy Mode, Greater Sputtlefish use green poison, which instantly kills any Pikmin that touches it, and can summon three to five Lesser Sputtlefish at a time.

Upon defeat, each one drops a Violet Elixer, a grape soda can worth HP Sparklium icon.png × 375.

Lyn's sale review

Barbs are extremely pointy and their light weight makes them a great tool for outdoor fishing.
