Ooze Beetles are a species of scarab beetle appearing in Pikmin: Spark, there they are found exclusively in dens. They appear similar to the Anode Beetle, but instead of bright yellow spots, Ooze Beetles have deep purple spots. Like other members of their species, they appear in large groups, where they take advantage of strength in numbers. They attack by having two members spray purple, sticky threads between two each other, creating a poisonous web between them that both traps and poisons Pikmin. When they conclude their attack, the web turns into a line of toxic sludge, which slows and poisons anything that steps on it. Due to these factors, White Pikmin are the ideal type to use as they are both immune to the toxic webs these beetles make and can destroy the sludge the webbing becomes.
