PikminFanon talk:Deletion policy

From Pikmin Fanon

Suggestion

Here is a section from Diary of a Wimpy Kid Wiki that should probably be added to this policy page too. It documents and guides a user on what they should do with a page rather than just of scrapping it.

==Alternatives to deletion==
===Articles===
Most articles may seem low-quality and not really suitable for being an article, but that doesn't mean they should be deleted. It can instead be tagged with the {{T|todo}} template and provided with a descriptive idea to let others know what the article needs to achieve full improvement and prevent eligibility for deletion.

===Redirects===
Redirects redirecting to red links (commonly known as "''broken links''") are called "''Broken redirects''". Broken redirects should be deleted unless the target page was moved elsewhere. If the target page was moved elsewhere, find the moved page. When found, copy the new and full title of the moved page, and change the target link of the broken redirect so that it can be redirected to that moved page. Broken redirects can be listed [[Special:BrokenRedirects|here]].

As someone who often looks to recycle content, I approve of this. Thank you for mentioning it! However, the next time you wish to suggest a change in a policy, please use the proposals page. ~ Cheepy-Cheepy icon.pngCheepy-Cheepy

Update

I added the last section into the administrator's handbook subpage, so that means it can be removed from here now. Username(talk) 21:56, 20 June 2022 (UTC)
