Romantic Phlegmooches are social creatures in Pikmin X: Deep Freeze that travel in groups and behave similarly to Anode Beetles. They slowly wander around in a small area and occasionally stop to link up in pairs, but instead of generating electricity, the two creatures meet their sticky tongues and pull themselves into each other to lock together in a kiss. Pikmin that touch the tongue of a Romantic Phlegmooch will become stuck to it and will get eaten once the two creatures attach, so they must be maneuvered around carefully. A lone Romantic Phlegmooch is much less dangerous than a crowd of them, but it can still eat Pikmin that directly touch its large mouth. Because of this, Romantic Phlegmooches should be attacked from the back or side to safely defeat them.
