Screeching Beetles are enemies in Pikmin 2... Again? resembling blue Antenna Beetles with a speaker-like mouth. They produce deafening screeches over a long distance, temporarily preventing Pikmin from hearing the leaders' whistles, or anything else for that matter, as well as preventing leaders from focusing enough to lock-on to targets for two seconds. It tries to hop away from Pikmin trying to attack it but will fall if a Pikmin lands directly on top of it, struggling in place for some seconds until it can right itself.
