Obstacle

A wall shooter is an obstacle resembling a cannon attached to a wall. When active, they automatically fire projectiles in whichever direction they're facing at various rates, but can also be made to fire deliberately when supplied with power. The projectiles themselves may exhibit the properties of various hazards, or ricochet off surfaces they hit. Wall shooters can either be bolted to or embedded within walls, some being stationary while others move along a set path. Depending on their appearance, wall shooters can be destroyed normally, must be destroyed with more unconventional methods, or be completely indestructible, needing to be disabled instead. If so, they may be disabled by hitting a switch or clearing the local area of enemies.

Wall shooters are obstacles appearing in Pikmin Evolution. They take the form of a device resembling a motor or cannon bolted to a wall or the front of a gate. Wall shooters are made out of thick metal, rendering them indestructible, necessitating avoiding their fire or turning them off. Wall shooters fire either straight or diagonally, with the diagonal-shooting ones launching ricocheting bullets rather than the straight shots which are destroyed upon hitting a wall. The bullets fired by a wall shooter can travel through multiple Pikmin, making their bullets imperative to avoid. Wall shooters can fire a variety of hazardous substances, as indicated by the color of the wall shooter in question. The colors are red for fire, yellow for electricity, blue for water, purple for poison, green for acid, white for ice, and, exclusively in the House of Gloom DLC, brown for earth and black for gloom.
