Wild Pikmin are Pikmin that are encountered naturally in areas or caves, without needing to have propagated them first with their respective Onion or candypop buds. They can be found sitting idly, fighting enemies, hidden or concealed within certain obstacles, or buried in the ground as sprouts. Wild Pikmin are usually located by their respective Onion, whether or not those particular Onions must be rescued from peril, but are more often encountered far from it.
In fanon media, wild Pikmin may also be feral and attack leaders until they are whistled, permanently pacifying them.

Wild Pikmin are normal Pikmin in Pikmin 3: The Dweevil's Revenge that randomly appear in an area and attack leaders that get too close. Whistling them will permanently calm them. They have an entry in the Piklopedia even though they aren't necessarily enemies.
