;10 pellet: These are even rarer, and similarly to 5 pellets they mostly appear on the ground or are dropped from larger enemies. Pellet Posies that bear this size of pellet exist, however. If they are brought to the same colored Onion, they produce 10 Pikmin; if not, they produce 5 Pikmin.

;20 pellet: The rarest of all, these are very large and very difficult to find. They are mostly found lying on the ground, but are never dropped from enemies. Pellet Posies that grow this size of pellet exist. 50 Pikmin maximum can carry a 20 pellet, instead of the normal of exactly twice its weight. If they are brought to the same colored Onion, they produce 20 Pikmin; if not, they produce 10 Pikmin.

Destination
When carrying pellets, the number shown indicates the color of Onion that is the item's destination; this can change if the Pikmin carrying it are removed or others added. When a Pellet in such a situation is carried, the majority of Red, Yellow or Blue Pikmin decides its destination. When there are only Purple or White Pikmin carrying a pellet, it usually ends up at the nearest Onion to the start of the carrying. All of this is usually true, but if only one primary-colored Pikmin is carrying a pellet and the rest that are carrying it are purple or white, the primary-colored Pikmin's onion gets the pellet.

There is one color of pellet per main Pikmin type, with the exception of Purple Pikmin, White Pikmin, and Bulbmin, since those do not have an Onion.
* Red pellet: Among the most common types of pellets. These are associated with Red Pikmin.
* Yellow pellet: These pellets are associated with Yellow Pikmin.
* Blue pellet: Blue pellets are associated with Blue Pikmin.
* Rock pellet: Rock pellets are associated with Rock Pikmin, and until hp, they used to be unnamed.
* Pink pellet: These are associated with Winged Pikmin, and just like rock pellets, they used to be unnamed until hp.

Captain Olimar and some Pikmin with a pellet.

A pellet is a crystallized chunk of nectar that contains vitamins and other nutrition. Pellets are used to produce Pikmin, by bringing them to the Onion, and are the main source of seeds at the start of any Pikmin game. There is one color of pellet per main Pikmin type, with few exceptions.

They are found on the top of Pellet Posies, and sometimes on the ground. Certain creatures of PNF-404 also leave pellets as spoils at times.

Pellets come in a variety of sizes, and each one produces a different amount of Pikmin. A number can be seen atop each one, reflecting its weight. Pellets with the numbers 1, 5, 8, 10, and 20 exist, although 40-pellets can be seen in some Pikmin 1 prerelease footage, and some fanon games may have pellets with different numbers. If the color of the pellet matches the color of the Onion it is delivered to, that same number of Pikmin is produced, the exception being the number 1, which creates two Pikmin. If not, only half that number, rounded up, will appear.
