The Midnight Cannon Beetle Larvae or simply the Midnight Cannon Larvae is a species of lithopod appearing in Pikmin: Spark. They get their name from the deep purple and blue hue they have upon hatching giving them the shade most similar to the nights of PNF-404. They gain this hue due to their diet of poisonous and inedible matter which their digestive systems allow digesting giving them the distinctive hue. This also makes them instead of shooting boulders shoot balls of toxic mud which leaves behind a trail of sludge. This sludge not only slows captains down but also poisons anyone who steps on it. Luckily White Pikmin can not only destroy the sludge, but they are also immune to the shots made by the larvae meaning they are the ideal Pikmin species to take these creatures on. They have an adult form called the Midnight Cannon Beetle

With how it easily digests things into a mushy paste, I could domesticate these and create a makeshift medicine maker.
