The Spiked Ionpid is an ionpid appearing in Pikmin Chronicles. They are yellowish-green with a very slight hint of brown and are slightly smaller and skinnier than other members of the ionpid family. Most notably, a majority of its body is covered in spikes that deflect all attacks. The only way to kill these creatures is to use bomb rocks or to attack their faces.
