The Ashen Arboretum is likely one of the first sub-areas explored in Pikmin X: Deep Freeze, and as a result, it isn't particularly difficult or complex. Accessible after the second leader has been freed from the Heir Bulblax, this sub-area consists of a burned-out tree, and while the fire that consumed it has long passed, there are still a great deal of fire hazards present. They won't be much of a danger to Red Pikmin, however. This dungeon is traversed upwards, and its boss is fought at the very top of the tree; defeating it will release the Treasure Gauge and open up a long slide down to a previously inaccessible portion of the Roiling Springs, which can be connected to the rest by pushing down the paper bag.
