Clovers are small clusters of three-leaved plants used as scenery in both Pikmin 1 and Pikmin 2. Although they do not directly affect gameplay, disturbing a clover patch can often scare Iridescent Flint Beetles out of hiding. Clovers can be seen in numerous overworld locations, but are particularly common on "rest levels" inside several caves.
This should not be confused with the Science Project, a treasure that is a single four-leaved clover.
Notes
Olimar's notes
- “This is a naturized species. These plants are extremely persistent, and with the assistance of a symbiotic fungus that grows on its roots, the species is able to survive even in drought conditions. Typically, its leaves come in groupings of three, but intense impacton the leafing stem early in the development cycle can result in an extremely rare four-leaf cluster.”
Louie's Notes
- “Mildly poisonous. May result in nausea, headache, fever, fatigue, chest pains, paralysis, loss of bone density, moodiness, feral rage, sauciness, dillydallying, strokes of brilliance, and untimely doom.”

Notes
Olimar's observations
- “This plant seems to be all over the Flooded Fields. In fact, they seem more common in general. Perhaps they're an invasive species that is rapidly spreading across all of the places we've seen.”
