The Heavily-Armored Groinkinator or H.A.G. is a species of Shot-fish appearing in Pikmin Evolution as a boss. It is a large quadruped Shot-fish with silver skin and a thick black cast iron plate acting as it's face guard. The four legs of the H.A.G. move in a way that it resembles tank treads, giving a more mechanical movement style compared to the more organic Gatling Groink. Rather than have armor that just protects its face, the armor of the H.A.G. covers its entire body, protecting it from all Pikmin attacks. It also has all the tools to massecare your Pikmin army, it's backside contains a compartment from where it can shoot a volley of explosive rockets, which are larger and more powerful than the explosive pellets of the Gatling Groink. These rockets are so powerful they are able to even kill Elixer Pikmin who are usually immune to explosions, making it one of the most deadliest attacks in the game. This H.A.G. compliments this attack with the ability to scatter oil around the battlefield from a special tank under its body, this creates a slick hazard that cause you and your Pikmin to slip and fall while the H.A.G. potshots you with more rockets. The H.A.G. is also well equipped to take on stealthy foes, as from it's face it can spit out an explosive proximity mine that activates when captains are nearby, and only Elixer Pikmin can disarm it. This attack has surprising range, having as much range as how far a captain can toss a standard Pikmin, so in other words pretty far. On top of all that the H.A.G. has the ability to blow bubbles from the vents on it's head, which trap Pikmin and leave them sitting ducks to follow up volleys from the Groinkinator's rockets. So all of this seems to indicate that the H.A.G. is some sort of unkillable killing machine, however your far from the truth as it does have one weakness, itself. You see the oil it creates may be slippery, but it is also flammable, any rocket that explodes in the oil's general area will ignite into a blaze, which causes the oil tank under the Groinkinator to explode and temporarily loosed the armor of the H.A.G., revealing a massive weak point. All Pikmin types, though the large amount of fire involved when fighting the H.A.G. means Elixer Pikmin should be used the most, can attack this weakpoint for heavy damage before the Groinkinator puts back up its armor. Using this new knowledge the Heavily-Armored Groinkinator becomes a very easy boss to take down if your good at dodging the many attacks it can throw out, which is easy to avoid if one has tools like the dodging whistle. The emphasis on Elixer Pikmin as the best type to use against the H.A.G. is fully realized based off the fact that the piece of refuse it drops is notably covered in hot coals, meaning that Elixer Pikmin are the only ones who can carry it back to the ship. Overall for all the danger it poses, the Heavily-Armored Groinkinator can be easily taken down with some simple strategy.
