The Toxstool is a species of parasitic Sporovid with a turquoise blue tint. It shares the same body shape, behavior, and battle tactics as the Puffstool but instead of scattering spores that confuse or covert Pikmin, the Toxstool contains poisonous spores which are toxic to most Pikmin types. The Toxstool can also create patches of sticky mold on the ground controlled by poisonous mushrooms that only White Pikmin or Oatchi can destroy. The Toxstool is parasitic in nature as we can see its spores infecting the Dwarf Moldy Bulborb and Moldy Slooch, and it can spray spores over their unconscious bodies to revive them. While White Pikmin aren't required to be used to defeat it, the fact the Toxstool isn't able to damage them in any other way makes them the best type to fight against the creature with.

The Toxstool is a species of Sporovid appearing in Pikmin Evolution. They share the same appearance as they did in the previous games, but due to environmental factors they now have striped caps instead of spotted caps. They appear mainly underground or in areas with a lot of moist rot, going about and spreading its moldy spores around the place, making it more sticky. These moldy spores radiate from the moldy clumps it creates, which need to be destroyed by Roach Pikmin to get rid of the mold. Toxstools also are surrounded by a number of mold infected enemies such as Dwarf Moldy Bulborbs, Moldy Slooches, and other enemies, who guard their own patches of sticky mold and defeating them are required to remove the mold. However that won't last long as the Toxstool is able to revive these enemies by showering them with its spores. The Toxstool is essentially mold central and killing it will cause the enemies it has infected to die and disintegrate alongside it. The Toxstool is best attacked with Roach Pikmin as they are immune to the spores this creature makes, however in retaliation the Toxstool can scatter red spores which can scatter anyone under it in panic and leads them into the mouths of enemies who can deal with Roach Pikmin. The Toxstool is quite a tanky creature with fifty percent more health than the Puffstool, and the ability to heal itself the more moldy clumps are around it by sucking the substance around itself. When at low health the Toxstool can also scatter gray spores which causes their younger variant, the Toxcaps to grow and later attack alongside their older relative. Overall the Toxstool is pretty dangerous to an unprepared group of Pikmin, however Toxstools have their own weaknesses as well. Toxstools notoriously hate fluids like water, which shrivels up and stuns the Toxstool temporarily, leaving it free to be attacked. It also hates acid as that will cause its mold to melt away and leave it with its ability to regenerate its health from mold severed, leaving it greatly crippled. Overall the Toxstool can be seen as a more advanced and dangerous version Puffstool, since both are easy to beat with Roach Pikmin, but the Toxstool has tools to counter its own counters.
