The Defiled Grounds is the sixth and final area in Pikmin X: Deep Freeze. This is a heavily industrialized region adjacent to an urban area with polluted lakes fed by sewage pipes, where a combination of garbage, busted concrete and semi-active machinery is contrasted against unhealthy and dead foliage. The polluted water in this region is too toxic for even Blue Pikmin to safely traverse. Fortunately, there are plenty of inactive filtration devices which can be used to make the water safe to swim in.
