The Aggregating Poofspore is an enemy appearing in Pikmin X: Deep Freeze. A tiny green ball that slowly wiggles around, a single Poofspore is almost harmless. In massive groups, however, they can be incredibly dangerous. Small colonies of Poofspores resemble formless blobs that ooze around, extending tentacles across the ground. Larger colonies, which resemble giants armed with a pair of whip-like tentacle arms used to crush Pikmin, serve as minibosses in the Woods of Occlusion and the Defiled Grounds. These colonies are held together by a larger, red, Queen Poofspore that generates new Poofspores to replace those that have scattered away or were destroyed in combat. Any part of a Poofspore colony except the queen, which serves as the colony's weak spot, will poison Pikmin on contact. When its queen is attacked, pieces of a Poofspore colony will scatter, trying to attack Pikmin, but quickly dissipate into nothingness shortly after. If all of the colony has been destroyed, the queen will roll away in an attempt to generate a new one, but at this point, it can be easily defeated.
