The Barnagon swivels its eye around to spot potential threats. Upon spotting [[leader]]s and [[Pikmin family|Pikmin]], it will swing its tentacles around, occasionally slamming them onto the ground to crush up to five Pikmin at once. [[Rock Pikmin]], whilst immune to the rocks, aren't able to smash the hard stones of the tentacles. The body is invincible and the tentacles can take minimal damage, but the eye is the weakest part of the body. Once the Barnagon is killed, the stones shatter and the Barnagon's eye sinks into the body alongside the tentacles, leaving the body to be taken. Notably, the creature only attacks creatures its swiveling eye sees. As such, the Barnagon can be bypassed if it is snuck past, perfect for a surprise attack. | |||

Barnagons are humongous shellusks in Pikmin: Shipwrecked Stargazers that live on rocks in the ocean. The Barnagon is a large Starnacle with blue tentacles tipped with stones, a grey body with yellow flaps, and a large orange eye that has a red outline around its urn-shaped pupil.They appear mainly in the area Creature's Quay, on the larger stone platforms. The name is a portmanteau of the words, "barnacle" and, "cro-magnon".
The Barnagon swivels its eye around to spot potential threats. Upon spotting leaders and Pikmin, it will swing its tentacles around, occasionally slamming them onto the ground to crush up to five Pikmin at once. Rock Pikmin, whilst immune to the rocks, aren't able to smash the hard stones of the tentacles. The body is invincible and the tentacles can take minimal damage, but the eye is the weakest part of the body. Once the Barnagon is killed, the stones shatter and the Barnagon's eye sinks into the body alongside the tentacles, leaving the body to be taken. Notably, the creature only attacks creatures its swiveling eye sees. As such, the Barnagon can be bypassed if it is snuck past, perfect for a surprise attack.
