Crystal Bulborbs appear in Pikmin: Treacherous Treasures. It's a bulborb with green eyes, black skin, and a green-spotted back. It has crystals covering its rump and feet, protecting it from most Pikmin attacks. Use Rock Pikmin to break its armor and attack it like a normal bulborb. Bomb rock explosions don't wake this bulborb up, however, the damage dealt by them will wake it up if the bomb rock damages it.
This bulborb is usually found wandering around a set area, so it can be tricky to attack it. However, if Rock Pikmin are available, it shouldn't be a problem. Simply use Rock Pikmin to break its crystal armor and then throw Pikmin on its exposed body. If Rock Pikmin are unavailable, bomb rocks will do just good. One bomb rock should be enough to break its crystal shell and cause massive damage. If Rock Pikmin or bomb rocks are unavailable, then avoid this bulborb, since the only way it can be damaged is by attacking its face. Make sure to aim for its eyes to make it flinch. The shards of crystal left behind after battle are worth × 4 each.
