Indigo Pikmin are the second-to-last or last Pikmin found in Pikmin: Before the Impact depending on if Teal Pikmin are discovered by then. Indigo Pikmin are found in Bulblax Bog, and like their Purple Pikmin descendants they have the strength and weight of ten Pikmin and can stun and kill enemies easily, though they are very slow. Indigo Pikmin are blue-violet and have a dark green leaf on their stem, which is replaced by a pink bud or flower depending on their maturity. Under the command of Brandon, Indigo Pikmin move faster and can be thrown higher, but do not become any stronger. Indigo Pikmin are very lazy and constantly hungry, and when being thrown, they don't make an effort to attack unless the enemy is still alive.

The Indigo Pikmin are a Cave-based species of pikmin close to the White Pikmin which have evolved in a small envirronment with an abundance of spores, eventually learning to resist it, and even master it. They are discovered in the Desertic Farlands's Mycelium Amalgam in the 2nd sublevel. Their flowers are based off the Myosotis sylvatica.
Olimar's Notes
- “ The Indigo pikmin is an interesting species of pikmin. It's flower ressembles another flower eerily closely, and it seems that such an adaptation was due to high levels of predators in caves, meaning they had to disguiqe themselves as other flowers before back-up arrived. They have evolved similarly to white pikmin, developping Spore Pouches which can release their contents through the speckles on the pikmin's face; the reason for this is not known yet, however. Their indigo colour is from the Polyphenol antioxydants and strong anthocyanins they have in their body.”
Louie's Notes
- “ Um why is it- huh.. It turned that mushroom.. indigo? what is it doing?”
