Temperature
Temperature is a gameplay mechanic in several fan-made Pikmin games, usually appearing as a special type of hazard, such as an environmental hazard, that may be detrimental or beneficial to Pikmin, leaders, and enemies. Hotter or colder temperatures can affect those exposed to it in a variety of ways, such as being slowed, suffering additional damage, or outright dying if exposed for too long. Temperatures can also vary from day to day, and a location's temperature can depend on the current weather. Temperature is not to be confused with weather.

Below this point is where users place their version of temperature.
In Pikmin: Before the Impact
Temperature appears in Pikmin: Before the Impact as an environmental hazard known as below-zero temperatures. Only Cerulean Pikmin are unaffected by below-zero temperatures, which are only ever encountered underground, in caves. Other Pikmin that are exposed to below-zero temperatures freeze to death within fifteen seconds if they are not taken out of the area. However, below-zero temperatures can be returned to normal by locating and destroying a sublevel's refrigerant generator. The Below-zero Protection will protect leaders from below-zero temperatures.
