A breakdown patch is a new form of Burgeoning Spiderwort mold appearing in Pikmin: Global Breakdown. The insides of one consist of elastic layers with purple goo in between. One time, the liquid turned a Spotty Bulbear into a new creature, the Ravenous Bulbear. Compared to the chemicals that ravenous creatures foam out through testing, this concludes that the goo inside contains rabies.
