Burgundy Pikmin are present in Pikmin: Connection of the Worlds and found at the Great Volcano. They are resistant to fire, and more importantly lava, which, with the sole exception of Ultima Pikmin, incinerate every other Pikmin species that touch it, including Red Pikmin.

In Pikmin: Mysterious Raiders, Burgundy Pikmin are the only Pikmin species resistant to hot air. They are reddish-orange, their leaves are green, and their petals are red. These Pikmin can only be propagated using Lava Candypop Buds. If Burgundy Pikmin sprouts are exposed to lava, they become flowered. This Pikmin can siphon fire from enemies that use it, and can melt metal enemies to destroy them.
