The Burrowing Bladebug is a bladebug first found in the Tranquility Garden, the second area discovered in Pikoblitz. It is normally seen on the surface, buried in dirt, usually nearby Burgeoning Spiderworts. It resembles a praying mantis but has a brown, circular piece on it that sticks up out of the ground while it is burrowed. The easiest method of killing a Burrowing Bladebug is to the Pikmin at its abdomen because swarming is ineffective and the rest of its body can not be attacked. Using Purple Pikmin against the creature is the fastest way to kill it, although any Pikmin type can take one out with ease. The only thing a Burrowing Bladebug can do to Pikmin is deflowering them.
